Nothing hides in a classic Mini. The cabin is so compact that you're never more than an arm's length from any surface in it, which makes a tired interior impossible to ignore and a well-trimmed one a genuine delight. Split vinyl on the seat edges, sagging headlining brushing your hair, door cards warped from decades of damp: these are the jobs Minis bring to us, and they're satisfying ones to put right.
We should be straight with you about who we are: experienced trimmers with a soft spot for the Mini, not a single-marque restoration house. Period colours and patterns
Across its long production life the Mini wore a remarkable range of trims: sensible greys and tans, two-tone combinations, brocade fabrics, and the smarter velour and leather-edged interiors of the later special editions. Getting the look right starts with knowing what your car had, or what its year could have had. Where your original trim survives we pattern directly from it, copying seam positions and panel layouts; where it's long gone, we'll help you pin down a period-correct specification for your car's year before any material is ordered.
If you'd rather go your own way (leather in a period colour, contrast piping, a nod to the sportier editions), that's your call, and the small cabin means even a modest materials budget goes a long way.
Headlining: the job everyone dreads
Mini headlinings sag, stain and shrink, and refitting one is famously awkward: the cabin is small, the curvature is tight, and a wrinkle anywhere is a wrinkle you'll stare at forever. It's precisely the kind of fiddly, hands-in-a-confined-space job where a trimmer earns their keep. We replace headlinings on their own or as part of a wider retrim, and it's often the single change that most transforms how a Mini feels inside.

Classic Mini interior FAQs
We colour-match against the truest surviving sample of your original trim, often a section hidden from sunlight behind a panel or under a seat. Minis were trimmed in a wide range of colours and two-tone combinations over the decades, so a physical reference from your car beats working from photographs every time.
Can you match the original trim colours on my classic Mini?
Yes. Mini headlinings age badly (sagging, staining and shrinking are all common), and replacement is a job we take on regularly as part of an interior or on its own. It's fiddly work in a small cabin, which is exactly why owners bring it to a trimmer rather than fighting it at home.
Can you replace a classic Mini headlining?
Yes. Plenty of Minis have gained different seats over the years. We can retrim what's fitted in period-style materials, colours and patterns so the cabin hangs together visually, and we'll be upfront that this is a sympathetic look rather than a factory-original specification.
My Mini has non-original seats, can you retrim them to look period?
A small interior doesn't mean a small job: a Mini cabin still involves seats, door cards, rear quarters, carpets and headlining, all patterned and fitted by hand. What the size does mean is that every surface is close to you and any flaw is visible, so the standard of work matters more, not less.
Is it worth retrimming a Mini, given the size of the car?
