Straight answer first: Ultimate Trim is not based in Manchester, and we don't have a Manchester branch. Our single workshop is at Unit 6 Carrock Road, Bromborough, Wirral, CH62 3RA, roughly an hour from Greater Manchester by motorway in normal traffic. That's further than our Liverpool and Chester customers travel, so this page is honest about when the drive is worth it, and when it makes more sense for us to come to you instead.
Getting to us from Manchester: the usual route is the M56 westbound towards Chester, then the M53 northbound to Bromborough. We're on Carrock Road, just off the A41 New Chester Road corridor. From the city centre or south Manchester allow around an hour outside peak times; from Trafford, Altrincham and the M56 corridor it's often a little quicker, while rush hour on the M56 or M60 can add a fair bit.
Because you're travelling further, always call 0151 559 2515 first, and we'll book a proper time slot so the trip isn't wasted.
When the drive is worth it
For bespoke work, one visit at the start of the job earns its mileage. Standing in the workshop, you can handle hides rather than judge colours from a phone screen, see the standard of work on the bench, and talk the design through with Craig (our lead trimmer, with 15 years' experience) while he can actually look at your vehicle. That first conversation shapes everything: custom leather interiors, campervan retrims, classic car trim and steering wheels all benefit from it.
Many Manchester customers structure the job as two trips: one to agree the design and drop the vehicle, one to collect. When we come to you instead
An hour each way is exactly the distance where our nationwide onsite fitting starts to earn its keep. For suitable jobs (heated seat installation, fitting pre-made bespoke seat covers, certain seat repairs, and trade or fleet work at a dealership, converter or business address), the work is prepared in our Wirral workshop and then fitted at your home or premises in Greater Manchester. Not every job can be done well away from the bench, and we'll tell you plainly if yours can't; but where it can, you may not need to cross the M56 at all.
There's a third option for small, removable items: a single seat, a steering wheel or door cards can travel by courier through Ultimate Trim By Post: the item makes the journey so you don't have to.
